03 Days Online National Workshop on Design & Develop: Audio and Video e-Resources from 26th to 28th May, 2020 which was second programme of its IVth phase. The objectives of this workshop were to familiarize the participants with the various apps, software and tools related to audio-video development & editing and to develop competencies related to these procedures. The online workshop was conducted through Google Meet platform. The inaugural session commenced with the welcome speech and backdrop note about the workshop by the Project Head, Prof. Amita Pandey Bhardwaj followed by inaugural address of hon’ble Vice Chancellor of SLBSNS University, New Delhi Prof. Ramesh Kumar Pandey and vote of thanks by Dean & Head, Faculty of Education, Prof. K. Bharathbooshan.
The workshop was transacted through 12 distinctly designed sessions comprising of inaugural, induction, 08 technical sessions, 03 Question & Answer sessions, 03 self-practice,online assessment, feedback, and valedictory sessions. The registration was closed at
511 before the last date out of which 241 were called due to both the limitation of the platform used and intake capacity but only 212 participants continued the workshop. The 212 participants belonged to twenty states viz. Andhra Pradesh (05), Assam (02), Bihar (08),
Chhattisgarh (03), Gujarat (03), Haryana (13), Himachal Pradesh (06), Jharkhand (02),Karnataka (04), Kerala (06), Madhya Pradesh (07), Maharashtra (16), Odisha (06), Punjab (04),Rajasthan (14), Tamil Nadu (04), Tripura (05), Uttarakhand (10), Uttar Pradesh (52) &
West Bengal (09) and two UTs viz. Chandigarh (03) and Delhi (37). All the technical sessions designed on demonstrative approach were conducted under the able guidance of six Resource Persons having the expertise in designing and developing audio and video
e-resources from various reputed institutions. The main themes covered in the workshop were - Roadmap to Online Teaching & e-Resources, Video Development through various softwares and Mobile Apps viz. Screencastify, Screencast-O-Matic, PresentationTube,
FreeCam & A-Z Recorder, Video Editing through Open Shot, Audio development through Podcast and audio editing by Audacity. An online assessment having MCQs type questions was conducted in which 43% of the participants scored above 60%. In the end,
online feedback about the Resource Persons was taken in 04 categories viz. Outstanding, Very good, Good & Satisfactory and the average found was 65%, 28%, 06% & 01% in the respective categories. In addition to this, online feedback about the workshop was also taken on 10 points in five categories viz. Excellent, Very good, Good, Satisfactory and Unsatisfactory. The average percentage on all 10 points in five categories was found to be 66% in Excellent, 29% in Very good, 05% Good, 01% Satisfactory and Nil in Unsatisfactory. In the valedictory session, the Project Head welcomed the guests and presented the workshop report followed by the Chief guest address by Prof. Santosh Kumar Shukla (School of Sanskrit and Indic Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi) and presidential address by hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Ramesh Kumar Pandey, SLBSNS University, New Delhi. The workshop ended with vote of thanks. The e-certificates were mailed to the successful participants.
