About The Department
The Development Section of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University was created with the object of dealing with all the Schemes/Programmes of Ministry of Human Resource Development/University Grants Commission sanctioned to the University. The section plays an important rule for the smooth conduct and operation of such Schemes/Programmes.
Functions & Duties
The function and duties of the Development Section include effective implementation of the Schemes/Programmes as per the guidelines provided by Ministry of Human Resource Development/University Grants Commission. The section also deals with the allotment of ground space, seminar halls and class rooms to the outside agencies/institutions as per the rules framed in this regard. Apart from this, the section takes care of the Special Assistance Programme of the UGC, the distribution of payments of the teachers of self-financing courses and organization of seminar/conference/workshop and lecture-series.
The Health Care Unit of the University, Students Canteen, National Service Scheme and Students Facility Centres of the University also operate within the Administrative domain of the Development Section.
