Security arrangements of Vidyapeeth premises are effective under the direction and guidance of Proctor assisted by a Proctorial Board. In order to implement the security arrangements, tenders are invited from different security agencies registered and based in Delhi, and on the basis of these tenders this work is entrusted to one of them according to the rules for one year only. This duration can be exteneded up to one more year on the basis of their satisfactory performance.
During this session, the security arrangement has been entrusted to S.C.F. 35-36, Part-I, Sector-16A, Faridabad 121002 ( Haryana). Shri Pradeep Sharma is the Director of the Security Agency. Security Guards of this agency remain on duty, in 3 shifts of 8 hours each, every day and their work is supervised by an ex-serviceman. The security guards deployed at two main gates, V.C. residence and in the premises of Vidyapeetha, do patrolling in vigilant and alert manner and cater to the requirements of other security and safety related matters attentively. On many special occasions (Examination/Convocation), the services of the Security Guards also required. The Proctor makes surprise inspections to assess and ensure the efficiency of the security system.
In order to ensure effective supervision and co-ordination of N.C.C. activities in the Vidaypeeth, Prof. Piyush Kant Dixit and Dr. Minu Kashyap were selected as N.C.C. Officers on 8th August 1996 by a high level interview committee set up under the chairmanship of the V.C. of University or Delhi. On their selection, these two officers were given the rank of 2nd lieutenant. As per the condition of the selection they underwent a military training through a refresher course at Officers Training School, Kamti (Nagpur) and officers Training School, Gwalior in 1997-98. These two officers have been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on (9th August 1999). Filled with inspiration, discipline and sense of unity, the cadets of the Vidyapeetha took part in various programmes of national importance and glorified the name of the Vidyapeeth in the distant parts of the country. Through N.C.C., they also served the name of Indian Culture with great efficiency. We take pride in our cadets for these accomplishments within such a short period of time.
For sound physical and mental health, the games and sports have their own significance. Bearing this fact in mind the Vidyapeeth conducts various games and sports for the students and organised the Annual Sports Competition in the year 2003-2004 in Vidyapeetha. At the outset, the Competitions on Yogasan, Wrestling, Kabaddi, Cricket, Bed Minton Single (Boys & Girls) were organised. Thereafter various competitions related to atheletic like running, weight lifting, musical chair, javelin throw etc. were organised on 25.3.2004 and 26.3.2004. The inauguration of this sports meet was done by the VC and the officials of the Indian Bank on 06.4.2004. With the help of the Indian Bank, 75 winning students were distributed prizes for various events. The prize distribution was done by the VC and the officials of the Indian Bank. In addition to the Vidyapeeth level sports meet, the students participated in the Inter University level sports. In this series 16 students of the Vidyapeetha had gone to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut to participate the Cricket Tournament held from 26.11.2003 to 13.12.2003. Again from 10.1.2004 to 13.1.2004 a team of 7 students participated in the All India Inter University Yogasan Competition organised by TR.M. Bhagalpur University. A team of 2 students took part in the All Indian Inter University Kabaddi Tournament organised by Kurukshetra University from 20.11.2003 to 24.11.2003. In this competition of the individual event, the performance of Shri Ramesh Kumar (B.Ed) was the best. In this series the 'All India Best Physic Competition' was organised by the Punjabi University, Patiala from 15.12.2003 to 19.12.2003 Sh. Naresh Kumar (M.A.IInd Year) participated in the event for 60kgs and got IInd position.
